Skye's Story...
*Courtesy Post*

Skye is a sweet 10 week old little Labrador - Husky Mix girl. Sadly due some unexpected changes in the family, the Owner has to part with her. It is not easy on the family going through a rough time plus having to separate from their family pet.
But we are trying to do whats the best for the family and the pet.
Here is what Skye's Owner wrote us:

I already had her 1st round of shots and she has been microchipped, also has wormer, 1 full bag of dog food, a partial (you won't need to buy dog food for a month or 2), dog bowls, a dog bed, collar and leash. Also the few toys I can find for her. Oh and I also have a harness for her and she's potty trained, still a puppy though so a new place may have some accidents, I have puppy pads to go with her for those just in case as she gets used to a new place too

*Skye is a Courtesy Post and her Rehoming Fee is $150. If you are interested please email calenrodiel@gmail.com ( Please put the " Skye Puppy" in the subject line, otherwise the email will go to the spam folder!) *

Act quickly to adopt Skye. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skye, a Fort Riley Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Fort Riley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy from a breeder in Fort Riley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Riley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Riley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Riley paves the way for another one to be saved.
