Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a 3 year old spayed female Terrier mix. At just about 6 pounds I make the best travel partner. You could take me anywhere! I'd fit perfectly in a purse, under your seat on plane, or in a puppy stroller.
I'm a sweet, happy, alert little girl and I have such an amazing personality. I'm very cuddly & affectionate & I'm also potty trained and know how to use a doggy door! I can be a little timid when meeting new people and dogs, but with a little time, I come around.
I know a lot of adopters have cats, so I should mention that I would get along great with your feline companion. I'm totally cat friendly!
If you're looking for a constant companion, I'm your girl! I'm the best friend you've always been looking for. I'll cuddle up with you under the covers at night time and allow you to baby me as much as you want. I'm generous like that. ;-)
I was brought to a local high-kill shelter because I was found roaming the streets of LA. When I got there the shelter staff noticed that I had a small wound on my right leg and I wasn't walking that well. Every time I tried to walk I would attempt to take weight off both my back legs. Seems impossible right?! But I was determined. I must have looked pretty silly to everyone. Despite my injuries, I still wagged my tail, ate well, and seemed very happy. The staff at the shelter did an X-ray and found no broken bones or fractures, but they did see something that looked not quite right on my spine. They put me on some medication and hoped for the best.
A few days later I was told that I would be leaving the shelter and heading to CageFree. My friends immediately sent me to see an orthopedic specialist to get everything sorted out. My doctor cleaned the wound on my leg and stitched it up so it can heal properly. He also determined that I had probably been recovering from an old back injury. He felt that surgery would do more harm than good. So he sent me on my way with instructions for my friends at CageFree to keep an eye on me. But all of that medical drama is far behind me at this point. I'm doing great and if you saw me now, you wouldn't even be able to tell there was ever something wrong to begin with.
I am now looking for a family to call my own. My ideal forever home would be a quiet, calm environment with not a lot of chaos happening. If you think I would make a great addition to your home, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me!
