If you would like to see any of our dogs, please contact Andrea at (727) 644-1341 or come by Animal House on Wednesday's between 3pm and 5pm or every Saturday from 11am until 2pm.
Animal House is located at 950 34th St N., St. Petersburg, Florida

under 3 pound tiny maltese. This dogs history is unknown, her condition appears maybe birth defect related, but no way to know. She doesn’t require medication. Her front right leg is flat footed, so she walks funny. Her vision in her one eye may or may not be impaired, visually it appears fine, but she sometimes stumbles into things and one eye seems stronger than the other. She is not blind though. She tilts her head to one side most of the time, this could be the reason for the stumbles as well, no known cause for the head tilt. She may or may not have a fully functioning brain, she is able to eat and drink and walk, and most normal things, she doesn’t “connect” very well but does recognize people she knows and sounds and situations. Potty training may be out of her grasp. The best way to describe her is she seems a little “off” in her own world. This is a dog for someone that understands she is special needs and simply wants a companion lap dog that is friendly and in need of a great long time understanding home. It is likely she will remain the same, her main issues being the held tilt and stumbling when she walks at times. No medication required, just lots of love and appreciation for her condition.
