Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I'm a greyhound. That should be obvious. I think the volunteers were just giving me a hard time at turn out. First, they pointed out my fluffy tail. It's a nice tail! I can't help it if other greyhound tails lack fluffy fur. Next, they laughed at me because I sat down. No one told ME greyhounds don't sit. Oh well, I'm a happy, bouncy boy so I can take the teasing.
FOSTER UPDATE:
Sammy has settled into life as a pet. He loves squeaky toys and going for walks. He pulls a little on the leash initially, but then relaxes and walks by your side. Sammy doesn't have separation anxiety issues.
Sammy uses the dog door, doesn't get up on furniture or beds and doesn't counter surf. He knows his name and listens well.
Sammy is living happily with another greyhound, although he's a bit possessive about his toys. He seemed a bit confused by small children, but tolerated gentle petting. Sammy has alpha tendencies, so he would succeed as an only dog, or in a multiple dog family in which he could be alpha.
I'm super excited to start my life as a pet. We're going to have so much fun together! See you soon… Sammy is not cat or small dog tolerant.
