Lucy#2 Adopted!'s Story...
Lucy was taken to an animal shelter due to neglect by her previous owners. Poor Lucy just needed medication to help with an upset stomach but instead they punished her by keeping her outside.
She had extensive fur loss on her body and face and her eyes were infected when rescued.
Lucy has made a lot of progress and looks much better and has come out of her shell. She was very timid and wouldn't come out from under the table when she first went to her foster home.
Lucy is very loving and sweet and deserves to spend her life with people to love and care for her.
She gets along with the dogs at the house and is a joy to have around. Birth date 2/15/04

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy#2 Adopted!, a Detroit Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
