Little 20lbs Odie was surrendered to a gas kill pound at the sweet age of 6 years old; tossed aside by the only family he knew. When he was rescued his eyes were severely crusted over telling us all we needed to know about his last “family”. The crust and the scabs had to all cleaned up; he was not impressed during the process and was a very grumpy guss about it. It is obvious he is not used to grooming.
Odie is looking for a family who would like to share their home with him. Odie seems more like a person than like a doggie sometimes… from the moment we saw his picture it was like we were connected to Odie. Or maybe he lulled his way into our hearts with those sad, dirty puppy dog eyes of his!
Odie is looking for someone to love him, to cuddle him, to play with him and someone to watch TV with him. For a little guy Odie has a lot of personality in him and a lot of life. Like a typical schnauzer he needs to be the center of attention and always in charge of the fun. He wants to be on the go with you doing whatever you are doing!
What Odie needs in his life is love and exercise and consistency, he needs a best friend who wants to spend time with him both indoors and outdoors. Odie can live healthy and happy to 12-14 years of age so at 6 years old he in only considered an adult. He is truly looking for someone who can commit to him for what could be the next 6 to 10 years.
