Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Small in stature but big in Character. Mr. King was left behind when his owner went into the hospital and despite us feeding him lots of extra meals, he is still one our smallest dogs in the kennel. He enjoys the company of other dogs and tested very well with cats too. He walks easy and relaxed on the leash and as you can see from his photo, he is oh-so regal in our Lobby where he can hang out and greet folks with an adorable smirk. Although he has a gentle demeanor, we have seen King get pretty worked up sometimes (mostly when off-leash running in the yard) and he will get mouthy for a brief amount of time until he settles back down and so for this reason we would prefer NOT to place him with children at this time. We want to be clear that he is in no way aggressive but simply gets "nippy" when over-excited which can also be a a coping mechanism to the stress of living in a kennel and will most likely completely disappear when in a relaxed home setting. The manager of the shelter has a special place in her heart for this little guy and keeps insisting she may take him home……so hurry up and come over to Meet King to see if he is the one for you!!
