Biography: Portia's unbelievably, super-plush Mini-Rex fur will make you want to just sit and pet her all day long! Found as a stray wandering the busy streets of Phila., Portia was turned in to ACCT Philly before she came to us. This little spit-fire will let you know who's boss (she is!), so she will need an experienced bunny person or family. Portia is not suited for small children, but would most likely do well with gentle family pets. She has a great deal of energy which just needs to be properly directed. Portia is extremely intelligent and will learn to lose her defensiveness when she's given love, time and patience. This beautiful little one will be well worth the effort!

If this little one appeals to you, hop over to our adoption application so this bun can start a new life at your home!

Each rabbit has been examined by our veterinarian, spayed/neutered, and litterbox trained.

Adoption fees are as follows: $85.00 for a single rabbit, $140.00 for a pair and $180.00 for rabbit trios. This adoption fee includes spaying or neutering as well as the House Rabbit Handbook. These fees are fully tax-deductible.

Adoptions from us are a great deal - if you purchase a rabbit at a pet store or breeder, you'll pay $15 -$50 for a rabbit that is not spayed or neutered. Spay/neuter is the single most important thing you can do for your bunny's lifestyle and health. As a responsible rabbit owner, you will pay $200-$300 for a neuter and $250-$400 for a spay when you obtain these services outside our shelter.

Rescued rabbits not only cost less - you're giving a bunny a second chance!
