Preston is a sweet old boy who could use some TLC. He was apparently abandoned, tied to a pole along the beach. We think he's a lab mix, but he does howl a little when he is distressed. He is well mannered and a little shy. He has a couple of hot spots and has received a flea treatment, which we hope will help.
Meet Preston! He's a yellow lab mix found tied to a pole and abandoned on Preston Island. Poor guy is a little overwhelmed by his new surroundings and doesn't quite know what to make of our other dogs yet. He loves attention and he loves his walks. He's generally a low-key guy, a bit out of his element right now. He looks like he had some flea issues that we are hoping will clear up now that he has received treatment, and will be neutered by the end of next week! He's ready to relax in a home of his own.
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). We have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play. Please consider making a difference in a dog’s life and adopt from our shelter!
We are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Address: 2650 Washington Blvd - Crescent City, CA 95531
