Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sterling is a special boy. He is a young 18 month old White German Shepherd. He is a wonderful dog, but he requires an experienced handler that is familiar with large breed dogs. Sterling loves to play, but tends to get a little rough, mouthy and vocal when playing so his play can come across as aggression to the unexperienced handler. Due to his size and demeanor he can be intimidating to some so we are looking for a home with no small children and one that knows the breed and is wanting a fun active playful dog.
Sterling has an odd relationship with the cats in his foster home. One day he doesn't acknowledge them and the next he will bark at them, we honestly think the cats pester him when he's crated so we expect his moods towards them to reflect that. We wouldn't object to Sterling going into a home with cats as long as the family was willing to be patient and work with him.
Sterling is amazing with other dogs of both sexes and all sizes!!! He gets a along with all of his canine brothers and sisters. He loves to play chase and wrestle!
If you think you have the appropriate home for our wonderful Sterling please contact us today for an adoption application at adoptions@dfwgsr.com
