Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Have Mercy! They just don't come any sweeter or more mild-mannered than this darling, little pup. Mercy is gentle, affectionate, and eager to please.
She is probably between 1 and 2 years old and that means that Mercy is fully grown at her present weight of only 27 pounds! We're happy to report that this pretty, little canine has tested negative for heartworm disease, too!
Like most young, healthy pups, Mercy has plenty of playful energy, and she's always ready for a good game of fetch, a long walk on leash, or maybe even a trip to the dog park! But at the end of a busy day, Mercy likes nothing more than to kick-back and relax on the sofa, with her favorite human companions. Well....actually, treats may be this girl's all time favorite thing. We think there's a good possibility that Mercy's small stature is due to malnutrition as well as to genetics, so she is always on the look-out for goodies, now!
In addition to being underweight, Mercy arrived at the shelter with a badly injured tail, which has since been cropped to a perky Boxer bob. You can bet that as soon as the bandage comes off, Mercy will be wagging her perky appendage, with endless joy.
Mercy is beautiful and earnest, and you couldn't find a dog more deserving of second chance at happiness, so why not take a chance on Mercy, today? For information about meeting or adopting this precious pup, please contact Mercy's foster mom by texting (225) 281-4638.All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
