Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little cutie is Jackson! He is a two year old Dachsund/Jack Russell Terrier. He weighs around 15 lbs but needs to lose a couple of pounds. He needs to be in a home with older kids or just adults, as little ones who move quickly make him too nervous.
Jackson has settled in with his Maine foster family where he has some doggy friends. He also has lived with 5 cats and didn't mind at all. He was a little slower to catch up on housetraining but now he's got it down, and he can't wait to find his forever family!
Jackson's foster mom says, "He is so loving!! He follows me every where. Sleeps on me, knows his name, plays with everybody. Before bed, all the dogs get to spend some time in bed with us then we say 'bedtime' and they all go to their crates on their own, Jackson included! He is very infatuated w/ the mirror. I find him there a lot, It's so cute!!"
Jackson is also a champion jumper. He would likely excel at agility or other doggy sports!
To apply to adopt this dog, please check out our application.
Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
Thank you for considering rescue!
Jackson is in foster care in central Maine and is a shy sweet boy.
