Cocoa's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Cocoa's Story...
Cocoa is an adorable, calm Chihuahua who weighs 15 lbs. He loves to sit in peoples' laps and get petted. But he always asks for permission first. He is not much interested in other dogs, so he'd do fine in a one dog home. He is tan and cream colored and is six years old. He was surrendered to the animal shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He walks well on a leash, knows how to use a doggie door, and is mostly housebroken. He is neutered and current on his shots. He has been heartworm tested and is negative and on prevention. He will make someone a relaxed and affectionate friend.

To find out more about Cocoa, his adoption price, etc., call his foster home at 586-5186. You can also meet him at ARF's adoption site on Saturdays in Sylva from 1-3.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Sylva Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sylva, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sylva.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylva already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylva breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylva paves the way for another one to be saved.
