This Handsome boy is JEFFERSON a gorgeous Black Lab/Retriever. Jefferson is 2 1/2yrs old, He weighs in at 65lb. Jefferson has He is blessed with stunning good looks, gorgeous white teeth, a lovely shiny black coat and beautiful soulful brown eyes that just melt your heart
JEFFERSON`S story >>>> Its hard to believe that Jefferson found himself in a Georgia kill shelter I cannot think why he would be there. Jefferson was on the urgent list. The shelters were full and space was needed, so this gorgeous boy found himself fighting for his life. Our Georgia team member saw Jefferson a sad looking boy huddled in a corner his time was up.Lifeline pulled this adorable boy and brought him into foster for evaluation, we were pleased with the outcome, Jefferson is a happy boy and fits in well with the others. Jefferson is currently in foster with a Weimaraner and a Lab/Weim Mix he gets along well with them. Jefferson loves to run and play in a large area he is magnificent when he runs and he has a lot of energy. On the flip side of that he is nice and calm in the house and would just as much like to snuggle up with you. Jefferson is good around children adults. He has a protective nature for his humans but loves a cuddle once he knows you and will greet you with a fierce tail wag.
We are now searching for a wonderful forever home for Jefferson. A home that will give him stability and security he needs Jefferson has just blossomed in the time he has been with us he is certainly a favorite.
This boy is so lovable he deserves a family that will give him the love and attention he needs.
Jefferson will warm to you and just melt your heart. He loves to be around humans and will follow you around, he loves to go for walks, although he does pull a little. He knows commands sit, down stay and we are working on others, he is energetic, fun and playful. he loves car rides and he is excellent in the car. Jefferson is house trained he will go to the door and bark when he needs to potty at the moment he is in a routine with his foster and is let out regularly, He is intelligent and smart and will easily pick up your routine.
A family that does not work long hours would be most suitable for Jefferson as he likes the company and interaction with his humans. We have not crated Jefferson he dosent need a crate we do not crate any of our dogs they have the freedom they need.Crating for long hours brings on stress
At night time he will sleep on a sofa or a bed however he just loves to sleep on your bed he loves to be close to his humans he loves belly rubs he thrives on attention Jefferson is really a big baby.
its so hard not to fall in love with this boy And its very difficult to find anything negative to say about him apart from the fact he may jump up at you when you arrive back home. and although. We would also say a cat free home only because we have not tested him around cats although he will chase birds. Jefferson is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heart worm negative and he is micro.chipped. He is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to run outdoors and relax with you in the home. We are looking to find Jefferson a wonderful forever home where he can have stability and security in his life.
We are looking for a forever home that can cherish him and give him the love and attention he needs, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever. We don't want to ever find this boy back in a shelter. Jefferson is so lovable, We are not looking for a family with lots of children. Jefferson has a quiet yet playful but a home full of children may be too much chaos for him. A family that will include him in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect Jefferson will only get better with the right interaction. Someone that is at home most of the day would be perfect for him he dosent like to be apart from you for hours on end.
A home with a fenced in yard or acreage where he can run and play is ESSENTIAL. He would do well with another dog as a companion, he would make a great playmate. a female would be perfect he loves the ladies.
