Zane's Story...
Zane is a beautiful Great Dane mix who has several special needs. He's recovering from severe mal-nutrition due to starvation, paralysis, and a broken jaw. His jaw is healing on it's own, and he can eat, drink, chew on stuff just fine!!! Zane can't walk, but he's regainging strength and his rehab vet says he will definitely have good mobility. He has no problem going potty outside, you just have to carry him out there for now.
Zane was found on the side of the road by our local animal services team. We don't know how he sustained his injuries, we only know he is getting better.Zane will probably weigh around 60 pounds when he is mature. He's only 26 pounds right now, but still has lots of growing to do.
Zane will be ready for adoption around May 15, 2014. Please fill out an application at www.forrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane, a Marietta Great Dane/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Great Dane/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Great Dane/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
