for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Max's Story...
Meet Max! He is a stunning, young (2 years old), purebred German Shepherd. Max is as sweet as the day is long. He is good with dogs, cats and kids. Max walks well on a leash and LOVES car rides.

Max was just surrendered to BTR and hasn't had such an easy go of things lately. He would love a new family that would give him a little extra TLC. Max weighs about 55lbs currently but he is pretty thin and trying to put on weight.

Since Max is so new, we are still getting to know him. More information and pictures will be added!

(P.S. That is another adoptable dog, Honey, photo-bombing in the last picture! She's a 2.5 year old lab mix and you can find her on our website as well!)

If you are interested in finding out more about Max, please fill out an application. Max is being fostered in Ludlow, MA and his adoption fee is $400.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Worcester German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Worcester, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
