Kobe: Red/Stag neutered male, natural ears & docked tail, 14", 20lbs, vaccines up to date, microchipped, owner surrendered.
As part of Kobe's journey, I was told that Kobe originally came from a breeder and the breeder used aggressive and abusive measures on him. He was then rescued and then was given up when they weren’t able to take him in their move.
Kobe is a very beautiful and sweet boy. He's a bit on the big side for a min pin but very nicely proportioned. He thinks he fits on a lap just fine. He is very sweet and loving, and loves to lay next to you, on top of you, you name it. He is quite the cuddler, and loves warm hugs. In fact you can hug him like a teddy bear at night - he is so cuddly. Kobe loves to sleep with his person under the covers, but will also sleep in his own bed. He is very loyal and devoted to his person.
Kobe is a good watch dog (he will bark when someone comes to the door) - but he is not a barker in general. Also Kobe likes to lick. He will lick you on your arms or legs or sometimes nothing at all. He loves to go for walks and is good on a leash in fact he helps you along by grabbing the leash to walk himself. Also Kobe is good with little kids, 13 months and older - kids have played with him and sat on him and tugged his ears, and he may give a little warning growl but he has never been aggressive.
He's a good boy. He is totally housebroken, and use to a doggy door or will go to the door to tell you he needs out. As long as his previous owner has had him, he has been an indoor dog living in an apartment or condo setting. Also he is used to riding in the car and has been a passenger on many a road trips, and is used to public settings.
In his current foster home Kobe is living in a home with 2 large dogs and 2 small dogs, ages from 8 years old to 17 years old. He gets along with other dogs, but is more cautious with large dogs. He will walk around them with confidence but I think a little intimidated by their size at times and give a little warning growl when they become too much for him. He is respectful of their food and he will give a warning growl if they come close to his.
What more could you want in a dog…He’s well adjusted, he loves people and is good with dogs & kids. He is potty trained and would love to go on long walks/runs/hikes or just hang out with you. Don’t let his 8 year old age scare you away. He has PLENTY of life and energy left in him for many years. Kobe will bring happiness to your heart and give you unconditional love for many years to come… contact his foster mom ASAP!
