MEET RUDY:
In the 1993 movie, Rudy, the main character has a dream of playing football, but it's not until a terrible accident befalls a friend that he pursues his dream. Well our little RUDY is definitely not waiting! Following the advice of poet Henry David Thoreau, RUDY is going confidently in the direction of his dreams to live the life he imagines. Our RUDY's dream is to find a forever home where he can live, grow and love his new family! At 11 months old, this little long haired black and tan dachshund is laid back and friendly. He loves to give kisses and go for car rides. He is AKC certified and has his papers. In case all of that wasn't enough, this little RUDY is a dancer and plays dead when you say, Bang. What do you think:? Are you the fortunate forever family that will get to help little RUDY achieve his dreams and live the amazing life he imagines?
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
