MEET PATCHES:
Like Joseph with his coat of many colors, our little PATCHES is full of integrity and loves the simple things in life...a loving family, a good walk and a nice chew toy now and again. This handsome, healthy, 4 year old, 15 lb silver dapple pie bald is leash trained and loves to sleep in the bed (what doxie doesn't?). Unlike some doggies who enjoy a bit of travel adventure, PATCHES likes his life close to home and is looking for a forever family that does too. If you're a doxie saavy home, looking for a close companion to share your days and quiet evenings at home with, perhaps you're the forever family that PATCHES is looking for... He would do well in a home with a small, spayed, female dog and possibly older children (over 10 years of age).
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
