Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet and lovable Teddy Bear found himself at the ACC with barely a prayer. At 10 years old, everyone passed him by for the younger dogs. Once he got kennel cough, he quickly found himself on the Euthanasia List. But Teddy Bear had a volunteer angel who happened to be at the ACC that day. When she spotted the chubby Spaniel/Retriever mix with eyes full of hope, she immediately called us and a foster was found. Teddy Bear is now 54lbs on a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise. He is easy going, obedient, calm indoors, undemanding, completely housebroken and loves massages! Teddy gets along beautifully with cats and dogs. He never gets into trouble and has no food aggression. He walks great on the leash. And don't let his age fool you. Teddy Bear may be a senior, but he's got spunk and plenty of life left to enjoy. He's still very agile, playful and can even jump.
Due to his cataract condition in one of his eyes, Teddy would do best with someone or family who is retired or semi- retired and preferably in a home with a backyard. Sweet Teddy loves human contact and is a wonderful companion. He is a happy dog with a friendly disposition, verbally expressive but not a barker. He has a funny little under bite and now that he's been to the dentist, his teeth look healthy and beautiful. In a calm and loving home he will build trust quickly and be a gentle and loyal companion.
