Hi there!! My name is Emmett. I am about 1 year old and I weigh about 55 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Lisbon area and was brought in to the pound after the people weren't able to find my old owner.
I am a very, very sweet and lovable boy. I love to cuddle and give kisses. I am kind of a big goof ball!! I get excited to the point where I just cannot even contain my enthusiasm! I am pretty well mannered. I do get excited when people sit down and talk to me. I love to put my front paws on your lap and give kisses when you sit down, but I am a good boy and I will stop doing that if you ask me to. Even though I am excitable, I settle down and I love to just lounge at your feet.
I am a wonderful boy with other dogs. I LOVE to play with them. I would be an excellent friend for a young friend who loves to play. Having a dog friend would be awesome for me as it would be a good way for me to burn off excess energy. If I don't get a home with a dog friend, I would prefer a home with an active family who will take me for walks or a home with a fenced yard.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER APRIL 3, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
