Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a 10 month old Great Dane pulled from a NJ shelter. He's awfully short but body and head are all Dane! He did very well on the 3 hour drive to his foster home so he seems to like the car.

He's a bit timid and unsure of himself but he soon warms up and loves to snuggle. He also checks in with his peeps when he's unsure, which is a must have for dogs who are fearful!

Shadow is neutered, UTD on shots and ready to go. He's lived with kids, cats and other dogs. He just needs a good home and people to love and feed him so he can grow into the big, beautiful boy we know he can be. We do not yet know if he's house-trained or crate-trained. We'll post more information as he settles into his foster home and we learn more about him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Phoenixville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Phoenixville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Phoenixville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenixville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenixville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenixville paves the way for another one to be saved.
