Darla's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Darla's Story...
What a Sweetheart! Darla is a fun, lively, active little girl. She loves playing with toys, going for walks, or just snuggling close to you.

Darla was a stray in CA and turned over to us by her finder. She is estimated to be between 2 and 4 years old and weighs 11 lbs. I don't have any experience with her behaviour with cats, but her finder says she was fine with them, but they didn't like her. She loves all people that she has met here and will be fine with older children.

Darla is looking for a forever home where she will be loved, possibly have another small dog to play with, or maybe some older, over 8, children who will toss a ball or play tug with her.

If you are interested in adopting Darla, please fill out the adoption application at http://www.americanmalteserescue.org/application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Vancouver Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Maltese/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
