Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gertrude Gewürztraminer here, and I am pleased to meet you. My friends call me Gertie, and I hope that we can be friends. I really like to make new friends, but sometimes my shyness gets the best of me. Given the time, I can make friends with almost anybody ‘cause it just takes me a bit to feel comfortable. I am more comfortable with children 8+. If I do catch your fancy, just don’t expect fireworks right off the bat. I have a fear of cats. That is a hard thing for a dog to admit, but I want our relationship to be open and honest as we move forward. I could live with cats as long as they gave me my space and weren’t too catty. I like other dogs fine, but don’t take any real interest in making lots of canine friends. Playing and wrestling just isn’t my style. I want to make more people-friends, and I am trying to work on my insecurities and make myself more emotionally available. I am crate trained and like to have my own space to relax if things become too much for me. I need someone to invest the time and love I deserve and then I know I would become the totally awesome dog I have hidden inside me. That takes commitment: something I haven’t been shown much in my life. Maybe you could turn that around? 4 years old-41lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes: spay, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.
