Keyra is a female Poodle mix approximately 8 years in age. She has soft white curls and pretty, light apricot coloring on her ears. Keyra has been professionally groomed and is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. She is a nice sturdy size, weighing in at 14 pounds. Don't let her age fool you, Keyra is peppy, perky, and full of life. She is always up for a walk and will happily spin in excited circles while you are getting the leash out. She is very alert, smart, and people oriented. She loves treats and tries very hard to please her people, especially if she might get something tasty! Keyra is the most gentle, kindest dog on earth. Her heart is pure and capable of giving great love. She is great with children, other dogs, and cats. Keyra is a very sad story. But she is also a story of survival. Her entire life has been spent in neglect and abuse and at some point, her jaw was broken. Never treated, the jaw healed crookedly. Keyra managed to eat despite this and keep herself alive. Meanwhile, Keyra’s teeth began to rot from the trauma to her jaw. After more years of neglect and suffering, her jaw began to rot and fall away. We were lucky enough to see Keyra huddled in her kennel - matted, sad and forlorn. We have taken care of Keyra’s rotted teeth and her jaw is healed, although it will never be completely normal. She eats just fine and has learned to live despite her horrible treatment. She has a true will to live and zest for life. Keyra will grab your heart and love you unconditionally. She is a definite favorite and has a special place in our rescue. Keyra is ready for her new forever loving home today. We know she deserves it more than anything else.
Keyra’s adoption donation is $300 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
