Hi there. My name is Ellie. I am about 5 months old and I weigh about 45 lbs, but should probably weigh at least 55 lbs with my size. I am a big girl and I'll probably mature at around at least 80 lbs.
My brother Elliott and I were surrendered to the pound by our owner. We were originally found as strays in Youngstown when we were just tiny pups. He tried to care for us the best he could but he worked 75 hrs per week so we spent a lot of time in our cages. We probably weren't getting the proper nutrition to grow properly. Between not getting the right nutrition and being kept in a cage so much I am kind of bow-legged but not nearly as bad as my brother Elliott. The pound suspects that my legs will straighten out and I will be just fine with the proper nutrition and exercise.
I am one of the sweetest, big, goofy, happy go lucky pups you could ever want to meet! I am very affectionate. I love all people and I love all of the other dogs, even those yappy little ankle biter dogs. I love to play with both people and dogs too. I love playing fetch... well, kind of... I still don't have it down pat yet that I am supposed to bring back to ya! I am working on it though! I am very smart already. I have pretty awesome manners already too. I will jump up just a little when I get excited, but I get down and settle when you remind me when it's not okay.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
