Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family. Oliver is a fluffy butt who seems to be a mix of collie, great Pyrenees and shepherd and he needs a new home because he has been depressed and lonely since his canine companion died and the family can’t get another dog. He’s 70 pounds full grown and is now 18 months old. Oliver is submissive to other dogs, has never been around cats and he loves the kids in his current family. On his daily walks he tries to chase squirrels so might not be good with cats. He is a very, very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and sleeps with a 13 year old girl. He is great with the kids and other dogs and he likes to play and rough house although he settles right down. Oliver has been through 2 training classes and knows basic commands. He has never been crated and is never destructive in the house. He requires a fenced yard or he will take off. Two requirements for Oliver is another dog who will play and be a buddy, and a large fenced yard so he can get more exercise than daily walks. One problem is that Oliver gets car sick easily so the vet will need to prescribe a pill for him to take when he must ride in the car.
Oliver’s adoption fee is $300.00. He is heartworm negative and on prevention, neutered, current on vaccines and has a HomeAgain microchip
