My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cricket came to rescue when we pulled her from a shelter. They really tried hard with her but so many times, chihuahuas just don't 'show well' in a shelter environment. There are big dogs barking, lots of commotion and chihuahuas are often very frightened. Cricket was 'bitey' in the shelter so they couldn't put her up for adoption. Of course, we brought her into a home environment and she was immediately better. Better, but not perfect. She still can be nippy if she is scared. Now let me say that she has never actually bitten but we do think it's best if she go to a home with no young children. No sense tempting fate. With just a little warm up time, Cricket is extremely affectionate and wants to be with her person. We think that she is about 3 years old and she weighs 4 1/2 pounds. You can tell that Cricket does a good job of monitoring her own food intake - she won't ever be a fat chihuahua. Technically, she is a long coat chihuahua but her coat is really more medium length. Cricket is spayed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventative and is microchipped. Cricket's adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done. Cricket is a chihuahua lover's dream dog.
