Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What a cute face! I am a special needs cocker boy and I will be a great companion and someone for you to love. Please read my story: I am in a great foster home and living
in Salisbury with a doggie playmate and her nice family.
My name is Tyler. I am a 6 year old, black n tan cocker boy. I came to rescue with heartworms and some visual problems that have made me blind. These nice folks raised the money to pay my vet costs, so my heartworm treatment is now done and I have done well with my recovery. I was in a SC shelter that asked for rescue help because I tested as heartworm positive and would need treatment to get me well before I could find a home. The shelter staff told this rescue that I had heartworms, but no one ever mentioned that I am also blind. At first look, it was hard to tell if surgery was an option for my one eye, but at the rescue vet they learned that I don't have cataracts, but rather something that has caused my retinal problems. I have no vision in one eye, but I can still see a little bit with my other eye.
I am a real sweet boy, I am now neutered and I would love it if someone could adopt me, give me a 2nd chance at life in a great home and care about me because I am special and need love and a good life too. This rescue has gone the extra mile to bring me to a safe place, shown me that someone cares by updating my needs and getting my heartworm treatment done, and I got out of that scary shelter. Having heartworms was no fun for me, could have been prevented by my owner and wasn't, and.....I had to pay the price! I would love to have a better life, someone to care about me for the special guy that I am and the loving home that I deserve. Being without site in one eye, and having a little vision in the other, I have just learned to live with it, and if you give me a chance, and time to adjust to a new environment.......I would love to be your baby boy, a great best friend and a wonderful companion. Thanks for reading about me........ please consider giving me the 2nd chance that I deserve. Fill out an application........get approved ........and come meet me........I get along just fine and I would love a forever home to adopt me for the special guy that I am. Come see me soon...........
