A063363 Petey's Story...
Duplicate Listing - A063363 (Petey) - 7 year old male Rat Terrier - He is currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter and has been attending adoption events with Heart of America Humane Society at Ward Parkway Petsmart for the last few weeks. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when you can meet him at (816) 969-1640 and they are located at 1991 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Petey weighs 15 pounds and he is a sweet, quiet little boy. He doesn't seem to know any commands. He is a very timid boy who is not very sure of his surroundings. He would probably do best in a quiet home without small children but he did great with other dogs at the adoption events. He walks pretty well on the leash and would make a great walking partner or a good little lap dog. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when and where you can meet him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A063363 Petey, a Overland Park Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
