My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 2-year-old spayed female German Shepherd/Husky mix. I weigh about 50 pounds. If you've seen my photos, you've already realized that I am the most adorable pup around! Imagine all the attention we'd get just walking down the street. It totally helps that I also happen to be a super friendly gal that loves to meet new people. I get along really well with other dogs, too, so if you have friends that have pups of their own, I would love to meet them! I'm playful, inquisitive, loving, and gentle. I'm also cat-friendly, kid-friendly & potty trained. I would make the perfect addition to your home. I just know it! You want to hear the story of how I ended up for adoption? I was picked up by animal control and brought to a local high-kill shelter. When I got there they scanned me for a microchip and guess what??? I had one. Unfortunately, the microchip wasn't registered to anyone so they were unable to get a hold of my previous owners to tell them where I was. I wasn't worried though because I thought for sure that my family would be out looking for me. I figured it was only a matter of time before they found me and got me out of shelter jail. Boy was I wrong! It had been 10 days and still no sign of anyone I knew. Since no one ever claimed me I was put up for adoption. Then, one day, a volunteer took me to a mobile pet adoption event. I spent the day there with all my friends, but by the end of it, I still had no takers. The volunteer felt bad for me and decided to contact CageFree to see if they had any room in their rescue. Thank goodness they did because I definitely did not want to go back to the shelter. So, that's how I got here. This place is much nicer than that scary shelter and I get to spend all day hanging out with all my canine companions while I wait for my forever family to adopt me. Since I'm still pretty young and energetic I would be most happy with an active family. I'm positive that I would love to spend time with you on the couch watching our favorite movies together, but I also would really enjoy visiting with my friends at the dog park, playing tug-o-war in the yard, or even taking a trip to the beach. Does any of that sound like fun to you? If so, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and let them know you want to meet me. I'm having a ton of fun here, but nothing beats a home of my own!
