My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darlin is a lovable, energetic 2 year old who thinks she is a puppy. She arrived at friendship very pregnant and ready to pop out puppies. She had her pups at the shelter and later was transferred to foster care. Darlin was a great mom and a gracious guest in her foster home but the staff thought it was in her best interest to go into the prison training program. Darlin is a social girl that loves everyone including kids ages 6 and up. She was adopted for a short period of time but was returned because she didn't like the other dog in the family. She may be best as an only pet. Upon her return Darlin will be an awesome family pet.

On April 10, 2014, Darlin was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institute. Darlin is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

If you put in an adoption application on a prison dog and find another dog before they return, please inform Friendship.
