Name: Toil and Trouble
Color: Black and White
Breed: Domestic Rats
Gender: Females
Age: 1 year
Toil and Trouble are a sweet pair of ladies looking for a loving forever home together. Female rats tend to be a little more active and playful then males but they can still be very easy to handle and love to curl up in cozy places like sweatshirt hoods and pockets. They are available for adoption at Whatcom Humane Society.
Special features: Rats are incredibly smart and it is very easy to teach them fun tricks, like jumping through hoops and retrieving items. Toil and Trouble have been pretty well socialized and love human interaction. They will gladly sit on your shoulder while you are busy around the house and chatter in your ear.
Dream Home: These girls will need a comfortable, roomy cage kept clean and a hidey house to spend the days in, as rats are naturally nocturnal. They will appreciate some wooden toys to chew on and a good quality diet. Rats enjoy a little pelleted food with their daily greens. They can eat a wide variety of food and a little bit of research will give them the best diet possible.
