My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goliath is a 4 year old Alaskan Malamute.

Goliath is quite literally our resident gentle giant. At 140 lbs, he is a very large dog. Goliath's previous owners over-fed him so he is currently on a diet and needs a home committed to helping him loose the extra pounds. While he seems to be a rather lazy malamute, he will need some exercise and a fenced yard is required. He came into our rescue in February and has been successfully treated for heartworm. Because of his gentle, laid back nature, he wins the heart of pretty much anyone who meets him. He is good with other dogs and very friendly with people - he thrives on attention. While Goliath is very gentle, a home with older children is best just due to his size.

Malamutes are a special breed and they are not for everyone. We would prefer to place Goliath in a malamute experienced home. Please visit www.skylinemalamutes.com for more information about the malamute breed.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and HW negative prior to adoption. A copy of our adoption application can be found at www.openheartsrescue.org. Please fill out and email to openheartsrescue@yahoo.com
