Pico's Story...
Pico #1218 is a tan and white, 4-year-old male Chihuahua mix. His sweet, patient demeanor, and tiny frame will win your heart at first sight. Pico is crate and leash trained, though you will probably be more tempted to just carry this prince of cuteness around. We believe you can always teach an “old” dog new tricks and we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: and return it per instructions. Email with questions.
This pup will be available for adoption at our Dogapalooza adoption event April 10-13 at the Fredericksburg, VA PetSmart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pico, a Waldorf Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
