Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honey is about a year. She is about 50lbs. She is one of the most loyal, grateful and loving dogs you will meet. Her story: She was tossed out and down a six or seven foot levee by the dump with 8 puppies. They were thrown so deep one puppy died.
Someone found them and tried to help. Honey was scared. She would not leave her babies for anything. So the person took her babies she could and left her and called us. We eventually got them back together but Honey was the soldier. She would not leave her dead baby and stayed close. It totally broke my heart.
I remember calling and asking for help just hoping, praying we could get Honey too. I was not going to leave her alone, scared, confused in a dump--right beside all the trash. All we were missing was the Willie Nelson or Sarah McLachlan songs. This dog was a treasure and we knew it the minute we saw her. And whomever did this to her and her babies--well, I will have to let karma take that battle on.
Well we got her. One of our fosters bonded quickly with Honey and she is doing awesome. She is one of those dogs with a huge heart. She went to get spayed and went with another rescue Molly. Honey keep checking on her, kissing her to let her know all is going to be ok. She has a heart. And I am not going to let it break not even one more time. This is the dog who would give up her all to be with one loyal person to the end.
Honey if you stop petting her will come up and put your hand over her head, She plays. Gets along with others and cats but the minute you leave the room she is too interested in them. So I would not recommend cats at all.
Honey if you could not tell by now reading this is the giver, gets her heart broken easily. She needs that forever person as grateful and as loyal as our Honey is. It is not some tiny little promise we are asking for... a huge commitment...forever!!! her entire life! Call 530-777-8550
