My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clyde is one of the doggie duo of Bonnie and Clyde. The two were rescued from the streets by good Samaritans who kept them safe for over a month hoping that someone was looking for them. But no one came.

Bonnie has been adopted and Clyde has graduated to a Dusty Paws foster home that just happens to also be a dog boarding facility. Oh boy! he thinks he is in heaven on earth, with so many new people and dogs to meet. He started playing like crazy with the other dogs right away, and is affectionate with all the staff (who give him rave reviews already).

Clyde is a Chihuahua, probably mixed with some sort of terrier, and is a ball of energy. He is 11-1/2 lbs and estimated to be a year old as of July, 2014 . He is all muscle, a big wiggleworm, and an enthusiastic kisser and jumper upper. Since Clyde is an untrained puppy still, we would suggest no small children. Clyde needs an adult or two with the patience and time to work with him on all the basics, including leash walking and manners. He is alert and very smart - just wants to be someone's best buddy. In his rescuers' home he was learning to respect the house cats.

Clyde has been to an eye specialist who reports the good news that there is nothing actually wrong with Clyde's eye - no pressure, no pain, and he has vision. Simply, his eyelid doesn't work, giving him a permanent wink and a slightly piratical appearance.
