MEET PRINCESS AND MISSY-
We have two lovely, senior Dachshunds who have been in our shelter for several weeks. Princess and Missy are both spayed females, around 13 years old but with plenty of get up and go left in them. They were surrendered to us when their owner found himself with severe health issues and too many dogs. Princess and Missy have done well with other dogs and seem to be fine with cats as well. They passed their behavior evaluations with flying colors! They have both had blood work run which came back clean, they have both had dentals. OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
