My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apollo: 12 Week Old Black Lab / Mastiff Puppy 15 lbs.
(Lab Rescue will coordinate his neuter)

I was a surrender to the Fresno shelter. The shelter contacted Lab Rescue and lucky for me they stepped in and took me as my time was up. I am now in a foster home getting lots of love and being well cared for. I love to be with people and my foster Mom says I have great eye contact. I am getting along really well with her 2dogs. Other than that, I heard her say I'm beyond adorable! I am sleeping through the night and am being crate trained.

I've had my first round of shots, been dewormed, microchipped, bathed, had flea and tick medicine, nail trim and well check. I am being touched and socialized and I love all the attention. I am going to work with my foster mom and love to meet all the new people and I love all the action on the San Francisco streets. I did not have a nice start to life but I am back on track and ready to go to my forever home. I came to the shelter with my two sisters and brother and I am the only one left - kind of sad but I am not getting all the time and attention of the foster mom.

No doubt about it, I am cute and adorable but puppies take a lot of time, patience and training to ensure that we grow up to be good canine citizens. Puppies have sharp nails and teeth so any kids in the house must be 6 or older. As a growing puppy and an active breed, I will need daily exercise, outings and socialization with people and other dogs (once the puppy vaccinations are completed.) We want someone who is around most of the day to provide the time, training, structure and leadership that a new puppy needs. I am located in Novato.

f you are around most of the day and are willing to commit to the time and work that goes into a puppy, please call Rescue Rep Liz 415-613-6374.
(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
