Penne's Story...
Did you know that gold is the most expensive thing on earth? Well, since I’m all gold (even my eyes are gold), I guess that makes me worth about a hundred bazillion dollars! Fortunately for you, the silly people at Helping PAWS are asking the same adoption fee for me that they do for the other, non-gilded kitties (what could they be thinking?).

I’m a “look before you leap” kind of cat – a little cautious with new things and new people, but once I get to know you, I’m very cuddly and fun loving. So if you are looking for a new friend who is both playful, loving and a very good investment (the price of gold keeps going up), then I’m the kitty for you. Come and see me at Helping PAWS Pet Rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penne, a Washburn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Washburn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Washburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
