Zoey-Prison Graduate's Story...
Zoey has just returned from several months of training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. She is a proud prison graduate. She spent her time learning skills in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She is now available for adoption and waiting for her forever home. Please don't make her wait too long. She needs to continue to keep practicing the skills she's learned so well.

You will fall in love with Zoey. She's a 10 month old sweetie pie that was adopted when she was very young and returned because a child in the family was allergic to her. Zoey was then put in prison program for training. She is now back and ready and waiting for her forever home. Before she left Zoey loved to play with kids and other dogs. She's a little shy since her return but it's a lot of stress when dogs are moved from one facility to another. Once in a home Zoey with thrive.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey-Prison Graduate, a Elyria Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
