Introducing Dark Knight! He is a gorgeous Lab/Weimaraner mix. Look at those long legs. He is a sweetie too. He loves the company of people and will stand beside you and lean on your leg. He loves getting pets and attention. Dark Knight also likes a good squeaky toy or to play ball. He will engage other dogs to play with him too but will sometimes throw the ball for himself. So Cute! He is currently learning his basic commands at his foster home. They say is a wonderful loving and loyal dog who likes to go on walks or jogs with his human. He does very well on a leash. He is kind and patient and will make a great snuggle buddy too. Dark Knight is an overall great dog and would make almost any family a treasured addition. Please fill out an adoption application if you think he is the dog for you.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
