My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Nena has all the over-the-top Diva panache that we love in our female Miniature Pinschers. She has a vibrant, plucky personality, and loves to be the center of attention. This petite nine pound beauty was recently surrendered to big city Animal Control by questionable owners, who could not be bothered to give a plausible reason. Seven years old, our spunky angel was fated for worst case scenario, the "At Risk" or euthanasia list, because owner surrender dogs have only 48 hours to pass adoption muster before becoming at risk.

When Miss Nena caught kennel cough, shortly after her shelter arrival, she could not be spayed, and was excluded from the shelter adoption program. We invited her to our rescue, so that we could provide a little R&R and some simple, and much needed antibiotic therapy. Once she recovered, we had Nena spayed, and she is now ready for her new life.

Nena is a high energy little girl who thrives on attention and affection. She loves to be in the middle of the action, and is bright, alert and always investigating what's going on. She would be a great choice for an active adult home, with a single or couple who enjoy a certain amount of exercise. Nena would be a spirited walking, hiking or running companion. Min Pins were bred to work farms and hunt pesty rodents, so any outdoor action that allows her to indulge her instincts will go a long way to keeping her balanced and happy.

Min Pins are blessed with long, active lives, if they are kept at ideal weight and fed proper diet. Nena is at optimal weight now, and should maintain through a high quality protein, grain free diet, rich in nutrients and omega fats.

Nena has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. She is in excellent health and has been spayed. She has been vaccinated for rabies, DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo and parainfluenza). She has had the 4snap test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. She has been microchipped and dewormed. If you are interested in Nena, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more info.
