Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ellie is a sweet young thing with a winning personality. Based on her beautiful brindle coat we think she could be part Plott Hound, but another guess is Boxer/Lab. She is 10-11 months old (as of 6/1/14) and weighs a little over 40 lbs. She is a fun loving youngster, despite that serious look she often has on her face.
Ellie is doing great in foster care, where she is a hit with the three other foster dogs. She gets along well even with dogs she has just met and loves to play. Ellie is friendly and affectionate with humans too, but can be a little nervous in situations like going to the vet. She also has been working with a trainer to get over anxiety while leash walking near traffic. We recommend an adults only home for her or one with with older children. A home where she could be a companion for another dog or two would be ideal.
Ellie appears to be house trained. According to her foster dad she has never chewed anything up or dug in the yard and she will bark on provocation only. She also rides well in the car.
Ellie is affectionate and loves being petted and snuggled. In her youthful enthusiasm, she tends to jump up on people for attention, but this behavior is being worked on.
