Newton's Story...
My name is Newton and I am the sweetest boy on the planet. I am just 3 years old and I found myself in a shelter because my family did not want to deal with my skin infection. Turns out it was just a bacterial infection and I needed inexpensive medication. I feel and look a lot better. I am what you would call a Lab/Golden mix although a lot of people get me confused with a white Lab. I love human attention and I love - LOVE to play with my foster sibling who is also a Lab. I am house trained, have really good manners too. See, quite the catch. I am happy that my family turned me into that shelter because I get the feeling my life is changing for the better. Love, Newton

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newton, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
