Max is a beautiful and very handsome yellow Lab. He is about 2+ years old and is a big boy at close to 100 lbs. Max came to us from a rural shelter where he found himself after being picked up as a stray. He is in a great foster home now and is enjoying all the good things life has to offer. Max is a big laid back guy who also loves to play. He can't meet enough people and he loves everyone he meets, even the UPS man. Max greets everyone without jumping. His foster family thinks that he is great and his foster mom says, "He is a big lovable teddy bear that doesn't appear to have had much love and he wants nothing more. Max doesn't seem to know what dog toys are for and was almost scared of the squeaker toys. He did pick up a ball and fetched with it and his eyes lit up with joy. You can tell this is a whole new experience for him and he is enjoying every minute of it." Max is wonderful and very laid back and relaxed for his age. He would make a great companion for an active person, or a retired couple, or a young family with children. He would be considered a medium energy boy and settles down when told to. Max loves other dogs and to romp and wrestle in the yard with them. He might be okay with the kitties, but would need some supervision at first. Max has good house manners, is working on house training and doing very well. He does not like the crate very much, but working on that too. Obedience classes would be good for him as he is a quick learner and really wants to please his people. Max is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. He is a great boy who deserves to experience a loving family of his own.
