Brutus's Story...
Brutus" is his name, but this boy is a lover, not a fighter. Now that he is safe in his foster home and has had "the works" taken care of at the vet, love is the #1 thing Brutus needs. This beautiful guy was rescued just as he was about to run out into traffic on 635. Someone spotted the bewildered dog and pulled over on the shoulder of the road, coaxing him safely away from what most surely would have been his premature demise. Brutus was hungry, frightened and not quite sure, initially, who he could trust. The vet said Brutus is young - probably right at a year old. Judging from the way he was found and the shape he was in, that first year couldn't have been a good one. At some point, some sick person had even cut off a big piece of Brutus' ear flap. Even after an apparently hellish first year of life, Brutus is still willing to trust people, give love and receive love. After all, he has some lost time to make up for! Brutus has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested negative for heartworms (and has started heartworm prevention) and has had a badly-needed bath. He is full-grown at a whopping 121 lbs., so there is a whole lotta boy to love! We see time and time again how resilient and forgiving dogs can be, if they're just given a chance at a new life. Brutus needs a new mom and/or dad who will give him the loving, permanent home he deserves - a home where he can truly be a member of the family. Our adoption fee is $175, which helps offset the cost of Brutus' vet visit. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Carrollton Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
