Delilah's Story...
Delilah's adoption fee is $350.

Delilah is 8 years old, but frequently acts more like an 8 month old Dachshund. She is a lively little girl (only 8 pounds) that loves to play with her foster brothers and will frequently instigate play by poking and nipping at them. Delilah is equally a cuddle bug and loves to be snuggled up with her humans or curl up under a blanket for a snooze. Delilah loves being with people so much that she will literally leap into your arms the moment you reach down to pick her up. You would never know that she had back surgery 4 years ago; it was completely successful. She is spayed, current on vaccines and recently had a dental. Delilah is trained to use pee pads, and will also scratch at the door when she needs to go out. We feel that Delilah needs a gentle, friendly dog in her new home for companionship.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a Toronto Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
