Ruby's Story...
Ruby is an 8 year old female black and white rat terrier, about 9-1/2 pounds. She is heart worm negative, current on all shots, spayed and micro-chipped.
Ruby is a sweet lovable girl. She loves to lay with you and spend time with you anywhere you go. She will sleep with you and nap with you or even sit next to you in her dog bed if you have it laying next to you. She loves to go on walks and enjoys being outside with her people. And does get along with other small dogs. She a mellow laid back girl. She also is completely house trained.
A recent blood test has shown that Ruby has Ehrlichia. This is a blood disease caused by a tick bite. It is not contagious but she is a carrier.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Norman Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Norman, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
