Flo's Story...
Hi there! My name is Florence, but my friends call me Flo. Despite my mature name, I'm just 1 year old and can run with the best of them. I love snuggling on a comfy blanket or puppy bed, but also love racing around the backyard or wrestling with my foster brothers and sisters (of all ages and sizes). I also love playing fetch, but none of those itty bitty tennis balls! I'm a big girl and can handle the real thing! I've still got a lot to learn at my young age, but have already mastered crate and house training. Also, for those who are wondering, I am already spayed, UTD on shots, and on heartworm preventative (heartworms... no thank you!).

All around I'm pretty happy-go-lucky and I've got a lot of love to give. If you're in the market for a 12-lb bundle of energy and love bug, then I'm your girl!

Love you already,
Flo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flo, a Birmingham Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
